Policies and Their Acceptance
These Policies (hereinafter, the “Policies”) govern the use of the services of the portal http://www.quijoteenlinea.com (hereinafter, the “Portal”) of Quijote en línea®, with its address at Hermanas Roque Martínez No. 60, Edificio Patrony, Apartamento E-1, Sector El Millón, Santo Domingo de Guzmán, capital of the Dominican Republic.

  1. Conditions
    Minors – To use the Services that require the collection of Personal Data by Quijote en línea® through the Portal, minors must obtain prior permission from their parents, guardians, or legal representatives, who will be considered responsible for all actions taken by the minors under their care.

Obligation to Use the Portal and Services Correctly – The User agrees to use the Portal and Services in accordance with the law, these Policies, the Terms of Use, the Specific Conditions of certain Services, and other notices and instructions provided to them, as well as public order, morality, and generally accepted good customs.

The User must refrain from obtaining or even attempting to obtain Content by using means or procedures other than those that, as the case may be, have been made available to them for that purpose or have been indicated on the Web pages where the content is found or, in general, those that are typically used on the Internet, provided they do not involve a risk of damage or disablement of the Portal, Services, and/or content.

    All trademarks, trade names, or distinctive signs of any kind that appear on the Portal are the property of Quijote en línea® or third parties, without it being understood that the use or access to the Portal and/or Services grants the User any right over the aforementioned distinctive signs.

Quality – Quijote en línea® does not control or guarantee the absence of viruses or other elements in the Content that may cause alterations to your computer system (software and hardware) or to the electronic documents and files stored on your computer system.

Truthfulness, Accuracy, and Timeliness – Quijote en línea® EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE LACK OF TRUTHFULNESS, ACCURACY, AND/OR TIMELINESS OF THE CONTENT.

Legality, Reliability, and Usefulness – Quijote en línea® does not guarantee the legality, reliability, and usefulness of the services provided by third parties through the Portal.   1. Procedure in Case of Illegal Activities
    In the event that any User or a third party considers that there are facts or circumstances revealing the illegal nature of the use of any content and/or the performance of any activity on the Web pages included or accessible through the Portal, and in particular, the violation of intellectual property rights or other rights, they must send a notification to stating the following:
  • Personal data of the complainant: name, ID number (or passport, in the case of foreigners), address, phone number, and email address;
  • Specification of the alleged illegal activity carried out on the Portal and, in particular, when it concerns an alleged violation of rights, precise and specific indication of the protected contents, as well as their location on the Web pages;
  • Facts or circumstances that reveal the illegal nature of such activity;
  • In the case of a rights violation, a handwritten or equivalent signature, with the Personal Data of the rights holder allegedly infringed or of the person authorized to act on their behalf;
  • An express, clear, and responsible statement from the complainant that the information provided in the notification is accurate and that the use of the content or the performance of the activities described is illegal.

  2. Applicable Law
    These Policies are governed in all respects by the laws of the Dominican Republic.

    Quijote en línea® and the User, with an express waiver of any other jurisdiction, submit to the courts of the Dominican Republic.
